Match Remodeling is a Philadelphia design-build remodeling company founded by husband-and-wife team David and Whitney Posternack.
David and Whitney first met at Harriton High School in suburban Philadelphia, reconnected years later, and started a family - and then a company - together. The name Match comes from their two children: Maddie + Charlie.
Whitney studied at Syracuse University’s School of Design and spent 18 years at one of Philadelphia’s largest architecture and engineering firms. She thinks about how a home should feel and function.
David has spent more than two decades twenty years in Philadelphia residential remodeling. He thinks about how to build, sequence, budget, and guide complicated projects through the realities of construction. Neither perspective is complete without the other.
The fact that David and Whitney are married is more than part of the company story. It shapes how Match works.
For months at a time, a client’s project becomes part of their shared working life. They carry the same conversations, decisions, concerns, and details between meetings and site visits. When a problem surfaces, it doesn’t belong to a department or get passed to someone else. They work through it together. They know not only what has been decided, but why it matters to the client.
That is the experience at the center of Match - working with people deeply invested in the design, the construction, and the experience of living through it.
Glenn Perlman
LEAD CRAFTSMAN
Glenn Perlman spent nearly two decades constructing sets at Philadelphia’s Arden Theatre, eventually serving as Technical Director and leading the teams responsible for complex scenic construction and technical operations. The work required him to build one-of-a-kind structures from drawings, solve unusual problems under demanding schedules, and understand how hundreds of individual pieces would ultimately come together.
At Match, Glenn runs Match’s team of full-time carpenters and helps guide the day-to-day field construction. He works closely with David and Whitney to turn the design into something tangible, figuring out not only how it should be built, but how every layer and detail should meet.
Glenn is an exceptionally meticulous craftsman. He notices the uneven reveal, the imperfect transition and the detail that is almost right—and keeps working until it is right. His years in the theater gave him a rare ability to visualize complicated assemblies, sequence difficult work and calmly find solutions when existing houses refuse to cooperate.
He has been building things since high school, from decks to stage scenery, and brings the same patience, ingenuity and exacting standards to every Match project.
He also takes particular joy in finally not having to dismantle his work at the end of each production.
